#MemberMonday: Sarah Hayden

Welcome back to our blog everyone!

It's currently the middle of March – we have officially hit 1 year since the pandemic. We hope everyone is continuing to stay safe and stay healthy – the ending seems near!

This week, we have another member of MassVaxx that we would like to introduce: Sarah Hayden! Sarah is an undergraduate student at Marquette University studying Biomedical Engineering with a focus in biomechanics.

Sarah joined MassVaxx in Fall 2020 as the Business Development Representative and helps generate leads, update the website, reach out to news reporters, and more. She recently has been accepted into the Accelerated Degree Program at Marquette for her M.S. in Biomechanics!

We asked Sarah a few questions about being involved with MassVaxx...

Q: How did you hear of MassVaxx or why did you initially join the team?

A: "I heard about MassVaxx through posts being shared on LinkedIn and some mutual friends are on the team!"

So basically Sarah is telling us we have reach and a following on our social medias? Proud moment.

Q: What is your favorite part about being involved here?

A: "I absolutely love being a part of a team that is doing incredible work. As soon as COVID was announced as a pandemic, I was on the lookout for groups that were working on COVID related things, and I couldn't be more happy to be on this team. "

Q: What is one skill you're working on or one thing you've learned while being a part of MassVaxx?

A: "I have been working a lot on my interpersonal skills through speaking to other professionals about MassVaxx in hopes they would like to use the software or advertise us. I also have been gaining the skills of website upkeep. I have never edited a website before, so it's been a fun tool."

Q: What is the most challenging part of working with MassVaxx?

A: "I think the most challenging part is how fast we have to move. We have to be moving at lightning speeds to keep up with the governments guidelines as they have been changing frequently. "

Q: Where is the first place you will travel post-COVID?

A: "Post COVID I would love to visit my brother is Los Angeles. He is following his dreams, and I would love to be there in person to support him."

Q: What has been a non-work related "win" of yours during COVID?

A: "A 'win' of mine would be that I was recently elected president of multiple orgs at Marquette."

Thank you Sarah for all your behind the scenes work to make our website look amazing and bring our project to the eyes of our communities!
