#MemberMonday: Rob Rucker

Welcome back to our blog!

Happy first Monday of the New Year! 2020 is finally over!

We wanted to start out the New Year strong with introducing one of our newer members, Rob Rucker.

Rob got recruited to join MassVaxx by our very own Project Manager, David Fraley, and has been hard at work since day 1 of joining Mass Vaxx. He currently is volunteering as our Lead Back End Engineer.

Rob graduated from Vanderbilt University, has experience from working at Epic and currently is working as an EMR Solutions Engineer at Moxe Health.

We asked Rob a few questions about being involved with MassVaxx...

Q: What have you been involved in on MassVaxx?

A: "Due to my previous experience with HL7 interfacing and current job as a back end engineer, I have been chosen to be the lead back end engineer for MassVaxx."

Q: What is one skill you're working on or one thing you've learned while being a part of MassVaxx?

A: "Business development and organizing a software team."

Q: What is your favorite part about being involved here?

A: "I've always wanted to contribute to an open source project like MassVaxx!"

Q: What is one skill you're working on or one thing you've learned while being a part of MassVaxx?

A: "I'm learning a lot about cloud hosting and node.js, and web applications in general."

Q: Where is the first place you will travel post-COVID?

A: "Back to Nashville to visit my family."

Q: What has been a non-work related "win" of yours during COVID?

Thanks Rob for your loads of wisdom, southern accent, and positive vibes during all the team meetings!
