Welcome back to our blog!
2020 is nearing its end! And what a crazy year it was, full of unexpected and disruptive changes along with a global pandemic.
Despite the challenges and hard obstacles 2020 may have presented, we hope you are still able to find small wins that have come out of 2020, and if you can't think of any right now... you can consider us your small win of 2020! :)
Prior to 2020, our software was a mere idea that now adds tremendous value in the circumstances of today's times. Talk about a glow-up!!
Our final "Meet a Member Monday" of 2020 is introducing our Project Manager, the one and only David Fraley.
David is a Junior Software Engineer at Moxe Health. He’s been a part of this effort since it’s conception at the SIIM 2020 Hackathon back in June of 2020.
David helps lead the team by focusing their product, technical, and business vision. He also contributes to the backend design and implementation. This work really excites him as he can be a part of a global effort to combat COVID-19 while gaining more experience in leading software solutions from conception to deployment and implementation. The passion of his teammates really inspires him to commit more towards this work.
David graduated from Marquette University in May 2020 where he majored in Biomedical Engineering and minored in Business Administration. While at Marquette, he conducted research in the Image Processing Lab and was a long-time TA for Physics and Engineering.
We asked David a few questions about being involved with MassVaxx...
Q: What have you been involved in on MassVaxx?
A: "I kinda help all around, with business, some dev, talking with external stakeholders, etc. I work as project manager."
Q: What is one skill you're working on or one thing you've learned while being a part of MassVaxx?
A: "Business development and organizing a software team."
Q: What is your favorite part about being involved here?
A: "Good people and good experience."
Q: Where is the first place you will travel post-COVID?
A: "Either CA since I was supposed to head out there to visit fam or more realistically, just a dine-in restaurant with some friends"
Q: What has been a non-work related "win" of yours during COVID?
A: "Working with some good people doing good work."
Thanks David for all of your guidance, advise, direction, and dry jokes during team meetings! MassVaxx wouldn't be the same without you.
